Hi, I’m Annie.

I am a family and lifestyle photographer based in South Bend, Indiana. I’ve always loved taking photographs—it is amazing to be able to capture life in these beautiful rich slices of color and light. I am drawn to photography as a means of sharing joy and documenting the beauty of life. As a mom of six (ages 3 through 14), I have learned to find beauty amidst the everyday chaos of life, and I love how a photograph can so effortlessly communicate the essence of a moment. Here is a little piece of my story and how I got started on the journey of photography.

A South Bend native, I grew up enjoying the beauty of local attractions such as Notre Dame campus, Warren Dunes, and Potato Creek. I was fascinated by the processes of the dark room in high school photography, and I later studied English, Spanish, and anthropology at the University of Notre Dame (I also took a delightful film photography class). Upon graduation, I became a high school English teacher in Memphis, TN, while pursuing my Master’s in Education through Notre Dame’s ACE (Alliance for Education) program. After marrying fellow ACEr & love-of-my-life Eric, we moved out to California to start our life together. When our first child was born, I took a (permanent) break from the high school classroom, but I never stopped taking photos—in fact nothing had inspired my desire to photograph as much as watching each new life grow in our family. We eventually made our way back to my hometown, which is the perfect place for our family of eight! After upgrading my camera and lenses, I was ready to take the leap and go pro. And that’s where I’m at today—spending time with my family and yours!

Let’s connect—I am eager to meet you and help illuminate your story.
